Fun at the grocery store

Well, I wish I could have taken pictures yesterday and today. Yesterday, I wanted to record how many times Maddie said " I want peanut jelly samich Mommy." I think she told me 50 times in 5 minutes. She wasn't happy with the grilled cheese sandwiches and pineapple chunks she got for dinner. I should have taken pictures of them running all over the house, jumping on the couches and standing on the end tables. That is what a typical day is at my house. That is what life with multiples is like. It is funny how many people we meet and they say"We want quintuplets." Like it is something you just ask for and there it is. I love our children with all my heart. Four three and a half year-olds is extremely challenging and tiring.

So, today we trek off to our local Publix store to get a few things. I should have known that it wasn't going to be good when they didn't have a big racecar buggy. I put the boys up top to drive and the girls in the buggy. Then we head to the bakery to get our four free cookies so Mommy can have a peaceful shopping trip. Well, a had the little one up top, one in the buggy and two walkers. That spells D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R!!!! The one in the bottom of the buggy proceeded to open a box of cereal. So, she became a walker. Then, the three walkers start running all over the back aisle and are not listening to me call them back. As Morgan heads back towards me, she gets run over by another customers buggy. She was fine but it scared her. That didn't stop any of them from continuing their charades. We finally make it to the checkout where Sean is writing on the screen where we can see how much our groceries are. Ben and Morgan are trying to find a way to get gumballs out and Maddie is trying to open a huge Milky Way candy bar. At that point, I definately didn't have it together. The cashier was looking at me like I was crazy because I was digging in my purse for coupons. I had $15.00 worth, so she had to wait. I am a coupon queen for those of you who may not know that. I finally got checked out and pried the kids from the gumball machines. So, when I walked out of the store, Maddie was in the top of the buggy, Morgan and Sean were walking, holding on to the buggy and I was carrying Ben with my right arm while I steered the grocery cart with the my left hand to the car. Needless to say, that was the Brewer children as a group, last time going to Publix with Mommy by herself. I must be a raving idiot for doing that trip again. Oh yeah! I do it all the time. They are usually contained much better. If you got this far, thanks for listening to me vent.
